How to get to M Hotel

From Ljubljana Airport

Shuttle services

If you arrive at Ljubljana airport, several shuttle services will take you directly to the hotel. There are also other transport options, such as public buses, taxi services or renting a car, but a shuttle is the most straightforward option.

Public buses

Regular public buses operate between Ljubljana airport and city center. Buses stop at a station Ljubljana Kino Šiška, which is located near to the hotel. The ticket cost is 1,3 – 2,9 EUR. See the timetable. Find the bus stop location at the airport.

Tickets can be purchased directly in the bus and paid by credit card. To find out, when to leave, watch screens in the bus.

Booking a hotel taxi

If you prefer to use a taxi, the hotel can book one for you for 35 EUR per direction, you just need to tell them your flight number and time of arrival. Find more information.

From another nearby airport (Zagreb, Venice, Trieste, Vienna)

If you arrive by airplane to another nearby airport (Zagreb, Venice, Trieste, or even some more remote ones like Vienna), the GoOpti shuttle is a good option, as they will take you directly to the hotel. Just be sure to book in advance, as prices can change depending on the date of reservation.

GoOpti shuttle reservations

From Ljubljana main train or bus station

If you arrive by train or bus to Ljubljana main station (same location for both, the place is not too big or complicated), there are several options to get to the hotel:

    Taxi
This is the simplest option, with a price around 7 EUR. To arrange a taxi, contact M Hotel: +386 1 513 70 00 or one of the recommended services listed on the Ljubljana tourism website. Taking a taxi directly from the street is not advised.

    City Bus
Walk 400 m to get to the Bavarski dvor city bus station, then take the Line 8 Bus to the stop Kino Šiška (4th stop) and walk another 500 m to M Hotel.  You can also take bus Line 25 (less frequent) at Kolodvor station located next to the ticket office at the bus station. See details about bus tickets.

    By walk
If you decide to walk, you will need around 40 minutes and the scenic route goes through the city park.

    By car

If you arrive by car, there are also some options, but the hotel does not have designated parking. More information, including directions and parking options, is available on the hotel webpage.

    Discovering Ljubljana

    What to see

You can find tips and practical information for discovering Ljubljana here.

    Public Transportation

    Buses:

Ljubljana has an efficient bus network operated by LPP (Ljubljanski potniški promet). Buses run frequently throughout the city and its surroundings.

The bus fare can be paid directly in the bus by a credit card or using a city bus card Urbana. Each ride costs around €1.30 and allows unlimited transfers within 90 minutes.

The city bus card is available either as a physical card sold at Urbanomat vending machines (at most bigger city bus stations) or as a mobile app Urbana (available for modern Android and iOS phones, you need to connect it to a credit card). It costs €2, and you can load credit onto it for bus rides.

    Find more details here.

    Taxis & Ride-Hailing:

To arrange a taxi, contact M Hotel: +386 1 513 70 00 or one of the recommended services listed on the Ljubljana tourism website.

Taxis are available throughout the city. However, it’s not recommended to hail one directly from the street. If you choose to do so, ensure that the driver uses a meter.

Ride-hailing apps such as Bolt or Uber are not available.

    BicikeLJ (Bike Share Program):
Ljubljana also offers an easy-to-use bike-sharing service, BicikeLJ, with numerous stations around the city. The first hour of each ride is free. You can register at a kiosk or online.

    Walking:
Ljubljana’s city center is compact and pedestrian-friendly, so walking is a convenient option for many destinations.
